Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a psychotherapeutic model that views the human psyche as a complex system composed of distinct inner parts, each with its unique emotions, intentions, and roles. At the core of IFS is the concept of the "Self," representing an individual's calm, compassionate, and integrated center. IFS therapists guide clients in identifying and understanding their inner parts, addressing emotional conflicts, and fostering cooperation among these parts.
