Zoe Citrowske Lee, MSW LGSW

Psychotherapist - TELEHEALTH/VIRTUAL only

Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each person I work with. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or relationship issues, I am here to support you in your journey towards greater well-being and resilience.

My Story

My journey as an advocate for positive social change began during my undergraduate studies, where I immersed myself in dual degrees in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. As a proud member of the LGBTQ community, I have firsthand experience navigating the unique challenges and triumphs that come with embracing one's authentic identity. Fueled by a passion for activism and advocacy, I transitioned into the field of social work, driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have been marginalized and oppressed. Through my graduate studies at St. Catherine University, I deepened my understanding of trauma and oppression and honed my skills in providing compassionate care. I am deeply committed to continuing my education and professional development to better serve my clients and advocate for lasting social change. Together, let us work towards a future where all individuals are treated with dignity, respect, and equity, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. I understand that finding the right therapist can be a daunting process, and I am here to support you every step of the way. My approach is collaborative, transparent, and non-judgmental, and I am committed to creating a therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and respect. Together, we can work towards overcoming obstacles, building resilience, and creating a more fulfilling life. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey towards healing and growth. Warmly, Zoe Citrowske Lee

Professional Experience

As a compassionate and socially conscious Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from St. Catherine University, I bring a unique blend of empathy, social justice advocacy, and personal experience to my therapeutic practice. With an understanding of the systemic barriers and injustices faced by many communities, I specialize in providing trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions to support clients on their journey to healing and empowerment.

With over four years of experience in the field, I have had the privilege of serving as a Youth Team Therapist and Group Coordinator at the Domestic Abuse Project, where I provided therapy to survivors impacted by domestic violence. Additionally, my work as an Eating Disorder Technician at The Emily Program allowed me to support individuals in their journey towards recovery with empathy and understanding. Throughout my career, I have remained steadfast in my commitment to social justice and have actively worked to dismantle systems of oppression that perpetuate inequality and harm.

Counseling for Anxiety

Is anxiety taking over your life? Does it feel like you can’t control it no matter how hard you try? Have you already tried therapy but found it ineffective? If this sounds like you, Mindfully Healing can help. Our practice offers the most effective forms of treatment, to get relief from the anxiety that you deserve. When it comes to treating anxiety disorders, research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option. That’s because anxiety therapy – as opposed to anxiety medication – treats more than just symptoms to the problem.

Therapy for Depression

Are you feeling hopeless, isolated and not your usual self? You might be feeling depressed or deep despair.

Counseling for Trauma

Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it’s a car accident, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war, or a natural disaster. While many people can recover from trauma over time with the love and support of family and friends and bounce back with resiliency, others may discover effects of lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or posttraumatic stress far after the event has passed. In these circumstances, the support, guidance and assistance of a therapist is fundamental to healing from trauma.

Online Counseling

Mindfully Healing clinicians are now offering video telehealth therapy services to both new and established clients.

"Mindfully Healing embraces a personal growth based model unlike a problem or deficiency based model of traditional mental health... Our clients experience this during their first session."

Private Pay

Individual Rate: $150 per session

Family Rate: $200 per session

Why Private Pay is Beneficial for Some Clients?
  • Insurance does not cover relational difficulties such as couples and family therapy, they require a DSM-V diagnosis for one of the members. As a fee-for-service provider, I do not have to give you a mental health diagnosis.
  • Mental health diagnoses can follow you and be documented on health records and can result in affecting life insurance applications, health insurance applications and other benefits or services.
  • Together, we can determine how many times we meet instead of the insurance company making that decision.
  • Since a treatment plan, notes and billing information are not being released to an insurance company, a greater amount of confidentiality is in place for you.
