My Story
Professional Experience
My education and training include a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Psychology and Communication from Bethel University, and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with the State of Minnesota and am currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADC) with the State of Minnesota.
I enjoy working with individuals, adolescents, and children. I am dedicated to helping people navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and psychological well-being. I specialize in addressing trauma, life transitions, relational issues, anxiety, depression, psychosis, SPMI, personality disorders, substance use, co-occurring disorders, and neurodivergence.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices with advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and trauma informed approaches. I also have clinical experience working in residential, crisis, and outpatient service settings.
I believe the therapeutic process starts with building a collaborative, trusting, and non-judgmental relationship with the individuals I serve. Healing is not a one-size fits all journey, and I will work with clients to identify desired changes and therapeutic goals. It is my hope that through a collaborative relationship, I can empower individuals to make positive changes toward their goals in an effort to improve their overall well-being.

Services and Pricing
Why Private Pay is Beneficial for Some Clients?
- Insurance does not cover relational difficulties such as couples and family therapy, they require a DSM-V diagnosis for one of the members. As a fee-for-service provider, I do not have to give you a mental health diagnosis.
- Mental health diagnoses can follow you and be documented on health records and can result in affecting life insurance applications, health insurance applications and other benefits or services.
- Together, we can determine how many times we meet instead of the insurance company making that decision.
- Since a treatment plan, notes and billing information are not being released to an insurance company, a greater amount of confidentiality is in place for you.
