Lilli Jorgens, MA

Psychotherapist

Clinical experience in working with individuals, children, and adolescents with concerns related to life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relational conflict, identity, and neurodivergence.

My Story

From a young age, I have had a passion for helping others and listening to other people’s stories and experiences. I was drawn to working in mental health due to this and having loved ones who experienced anxiety, depression, and other concerns related to their mental health. After taking an introductory level psychology course in high school, this solidified my passion to become a therapist. I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology and my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Some of my values as a clinician include being curious and open-minded, as well as valuing connection with others. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, quality time with loved ones, listening to music, and cooking.

Professional Experience

I find that it is most helpful to take an integrative and individualized approach when working with clients. I will meet you where you are at in your journey, whether this is your first time in therapy, or you have had experience with therapeutic services in the past. In my integrative approach, I am drawn to using person-centered, strengths-based counseling modalities, along with exploring early attachments and being trauma-informed in my work. Some approaches that I may utilize include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based approaches, and somatic-based approaches, such as Polyvagal Theory. I find it beneficial to include an emphasis on the mind body connection, or holistic mental health care by helping individuals learn to regulate their nervous systems and experience mental wellbeing. My goal is to help each client feel seen, heard, understood, and to feel empowered to live a values-based life that is fulfilling to them. I would be honored to be a part of your journey!

Counseling for Anxiety

Is anxiety taking over your life? Does it feel like you can’t control it no matter how hard you try? Have you already tried therapy but found it ineffective? If this sounds like you, Mindfully Healing can help. Our practice offers the most effective forms of treatment, to get relief from the anxiety that you deserve. When it comes to treating anxiety disorders, research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option. That’s because anxiety therapy – as opposed to anxiety medication – treats more than just symptoms to the problem.

Counseling for Trauma

Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it’s a car accident, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war, or a natural disaster. While many people can recover from trauma over time with the love and support of family and friends and bounce back with resiliency, others may discover effects of lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or posttraumatic stress far after the event has passed. In these circumstances, the support, guidance and assistance of a therapist is fundamental to healing from trauma.

Therapy for Depression

Are you feeling hopeless, isolated and not your usual self? You might be feeling depressed or deep despair.

Family Rate: $200 per session

Why Private Pay is Beneficial for Some Clients?
  • Insurance does not cover relational difficulties such as couples and family therapy, they require a DSM-V diagnosis for one of the members. As a fee-for-service provider, I do not have to give you a mental health diagnosis.
  • Mental health diagnoses can follow you and be documented on health records and can result in affecting life insurance applications, health insurance applications and other benefits or services.
  • Together, we can determine how many times we meet instead of the insurance company making that decision.
  • Since a treatment plan, notes and billing information are not being released to an insurance company, a greater amount of confidentiality is in place for you.
